Danielle Kent was born in Florida and raised in Charlotte, NC. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Sports Studies from East Carolina University before returning to Florida to pursue her master’s degree in Sports Management at Florida State University. During graduate school, she became actively involved with Special Olympics Florida, volunteering as a basketball, flag football, and track and field coach, while also serving as a Unified Partner in basketball and flag football.

Following graduation, Danielle dedicated nearly eight years to Special Olympics Florida,  where she managed logistics and directed competitions across five high school sports: flag football, bowling, basketball, tennis, and track and field. In this role, she collaborated closely with coaches, principals, and athletic directors to deliver high-quality athletic events.

Danielle has a lifelong passion for sports, having played basketball in high school, as well as club and intramural basketball at East Carolina University. She is enthusiastic about sharing her love of athletics with Pathways students, both by strengthening existing programs and introducing new sports opportunities. She will also help coach our elementary basketball team and flag football team.
