HEAD VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL COACH

Jonathan Thomas

Coach Jonathan Thomas is a native of Orlando, Florida, and a proud graduate of Maynard Evans High School. He continued his academic journey at the University of Florida, where he earned his undergraduate degree, and later obtained his graduate degree from the University of Central Florida.

With over nine years of high school basketball coaching experience, Coach Thomas has made impactful stops at Jones High School and The Geneva School, where he has helped develop student-athletes both on and off the court. During the summer, he serves as a 16U coach for the nationally recognized Austin Rivers Southeast Elite 3SSB Adidas Circuit team, competing against top talent across the country.

Beyond basketball, Coach Thomas is deeply committed to serving the Central Florida community through mentorship and advocacy. He views the game as a powerful platform to instill the values of education, integrity, and compassion in the next generation of student-athletes.

Off the court, Coach Thomas is a devoted husband to his wife, Bonita, and a proud father of four children: two sons, Vincent and Maverick, and two daughters, Bronze and Jewel.

HEAD JUNIOR VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL COACH

Terrell Green

Born in Tallahassee, Florida, a lifelong Florida State University fan, my love for basketball began at an early age and has fueled a coaching career spanning more than two decades.

In 2010, I accepted my first varsity coaching position at The Geneva School, where I helped lead the program for seven years with a focus on discipline, teamwork, and character. I continued my journey at Evans High School (2017–2022) as the Head Junior Varsity Coach, before moving to Lake Mary High School in 2022 to guide the next generation of athletes. I also brought my leadership and passion for development to Specialty Fit Academy, a sports-based high school, where he served as Assistant Head Coach for two years within their athletic program.

Over the course of 21 years, I have established myself as a dedicated and competitive basketball coach, known not only for my knowledge of the game but also for my ability to build strong programs and lasting relationships. Coaching is more than wins and losses. It is about instilling perseverance, building character, and preparing players for life beyond the hardwood. My career stands as a testament to my professionalism, my passion for the sport, and my unwavering belief in the power of basketball to change lives.

At Pathways, our curriculum is based on the premise that children learn in different ways. Since Pathways opened in 1996, the goal of our dedicated staff has been to provide a safe and family-like atmosphere for students who may not fit the mold of the typical student in a traditional school.

ATHLETICS

Pathways currently offers Boys and Girls Basketball, Co-ed and Boys Flag Football, and Girls Volleyball. We are committed to continually expanding our athletic program each year to better meet the evolving interests and needs of our students.
